FoundME respects the provisions of the Privacy Act of 08/12/1992 and the Electronic Commerce Act of 11/03/2003 in the collection and processing of personal data. FoundME has also further adapted its way of processing to the GDPR that will take effect on 25 May 2018.
Privacy is a top priority for FoundME. For this reason we give users the possibility to make public elements of their profile completely invisible. This concerns the profile photo, skills, offers, location and click through to the complete profile. In addition, the user can also choose not to include data in the profiling that is shared with Organization pages.

Consistent with the Privacy Guidelines, FoundME has chosen not to work with identifiable user data at any time. Users are categorized on the basis of their enterprise phase, sector, skills, age category, location and platform use. This information is used to optimize our platform operation and the user experience. As stated in the Privacy Guidelines, the user can choose to disable this Profiling so that the Organization Page Statistics do not take your Profile into account. Because the operation of the FoundME platform depends strongly on this Profiling, you can not turn this off for the entire platform.

You, the User, are the owner of all content and information you place on FoundME and you can use the privacy settings to determine how the content and information is shared. The following provisions also apply: for content subject to intellectual property rights, such as photos and videos, you specifically grant us the following consent with due observance of your privacy settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, licensable, royalty-free and worldwide license for the use of IP content that you place on or in connection with FoundME (IE license). It is your exclusive responsibility to contact anyone who has contributed to the work you wish to place on the website (persons who have participated in the work, the persons who were depicted and the parties that acquired rights after creation. In any case, you guarantee to FoundME a free and undisturbed use of all works that you post on our site and will indemnify FoundME against any claim in this respect, if you are of the opinion that your rights are violated by material posted on our websites, you may report any breaches via email@example.com. We undertake to review your appeal as a matter of priority and remove the material if necessary. The IE license ends when you delete your IP content or account unless you have the content shared with others and they did not remove the content. When you delete IE content, it will be deleted in a way similar to the emptying of the trash can on a computer. However, you understand that deleted content may remain in backup for a reasonable amount of time (but is not available to others). Publishing content or information with the Public setting means that everyone, excluding people outside of FoundME, has permission to view and use that information and associate it with you (ie name, profile photo, location & specialties). We always appreciate it when you give feedback or other suggestions about FoundME, but please note that we can use this information without any obligation to reward you for this (just as you do not have an obligation to offer it).

FoundME users provide their real names and data. Here are some rules that you must follow regarding registration and security of your account:
Our goal is to provide commercial or sponsored content that is valuable to our users. To help us with this, you agree to the following (see also Profiling): you give us permission to use your content and information (such as which types of profiles you follow) anonymously for commercial or related content offered or improved by us. Owners of Organization Pages receive from FoundME statistics based on the Profiling of your profile. This information is always anonymous and contains no identifiable elements. You, the user, have the option to disable Profiling for Organization Pages.
If you request a professional page for your organization or manage it on FoundME, you agree to our terms and conditions for Organizations that are notified at the time you request this page.
You, or if you are a minor, your parents or legal guardian, are responsible for all actions that you make on our website. FoundME tries to research your material and information as much as possible beforehand. We reserve the right to refuse the use of this website and all posts and uploads, to remove them and, if necessary, to deny you access to them. You guarantee that all information you give us is and remains correct and current and will indemnify us in this respect against all claims and claims of third parties. FoundME can ask you to provide your name and e-mail address. This information can be passed on to the police services and judicial authorities if they conduct an investigation into unauthorized behavior in connection with the use of our website.

We are not responsible for any offensive, inappropriate, obscene, illegal, or otherwise reprehensible content or information that you may find on FoundME. We are not responsible for the online or offline behavior of our users. We try to keep FoundME online, error-free and secure, but you use the platform at your own risk. We offer the platform as it is, without express or implied warranties, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-compliance. We do not guarantee that FoundME will always be safe, secure or error-free or that it will always work without malfunctions, delays or irregularities. FoundME is not responsible for the actions, content, information or data of third parties and you indemnify us, our directors, managers, employees, ... from any claims and damages, known and unknown, arising from or related to any claims you make against such parties. We are not liable to the user for any loss of profits or other consequential damages, special, indirect or incidental damages arising out of or in connection with this statement or me FoundME. Not even if we were informed about the possibility of such damage. Our total liability arising from this declaration or from FoundME will not exceed one hundred euros (EUR 100.00) or the amount you have paid us in the past six (6) months. Under certain applicable laws, you may not be permitted to restrict or decline liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or deviation may not apply to you. 'content' this is everything that you and other users place, deliver, or share by using FoundME.
'data', 'user data' or 'user data' these are all data, including the content or information of a user that you or a third party can retrieve from FoundME or can provide to FoundME via the platform.
'place' this is posting to FoundME or otherwise available by using the platform.
'use' this is to use, execute, copy, publicly publish or display, distribute, modify, translate and create derivative products from.
'Specialties' or 'Skills' are the specific interest and knowledge fields that you communicate to us.
'Offers' are the things that you can offer to other users and that you communicate to us.
'Profiling' is used to put people in comparable categories in an unidentifiable way.
'Organization page' are both standard FoundME business pages and LANES pages
'LANES by FoundME' is a separate package group from FoundME
